COFP is an active and visible presence in Central Ohio and elsewhere. With the help of the Columbus Unitarian-Universalist and Mennonite Churches, COFP sent 383 School Kits for Iraq. Relief Kits were also sent. In addition, COFP contributed to a Heifer International Project, and sent a response letter to a Green Peace group in Dresden, Germany.
COFP also cooperates with other local and national groups, including the National Network to End the War against Iraq and the Central Ohio Peace Network.
COFP has produced a Candidates Peace Policy Survey; Open the Door to Peace Door Hangers; Three Large Central Ohioans for Peace Banners; Central Ohioans for Peace T-Shirts; and created the Document: Organizing for Peace, Prosperity, and Democracy (Facilitating Peace by Restoring Democracy).
COFP monitors the local news, and has responded to items regarding proposals by local churches to convert local Muslims, and Saving Private Lynch.
On the political front, COFP sent a description of the Proposed Department of Peace to the Washington office of Congressman Dennis Kucinich, and attended a talk given by Congressman Kucinich. COFP also sent letters to Congresswoman Deborah Pryce, inquiring as to her views on topics of interest to us.
COFP and its members:

- Sent a Delegate to Monitor the ANSWER Conference May 17th - 19th
- Showed the Film History of Islam and Hidden Wars of Desert Storm on May 17th
- Set up a Booth at the North American Indian Celebration
- Set up a Booth at COMFEST
- Set up a Booth at the International Festival
- Sent Delegates to the Peace Protests in Washington DC Twice
- Sent a Delegate to the Hiroshima Anniversary Observance
- Sent a Delegate to the Intercollegiate Forum on the United Nations
- Sent a Delegate to the Earth Charter Summit on October 11th
Exhibits created for the COFP Booths included A Comparison of Military Spending to Social Needs Spending and Interfaith Statements of the Golden Rule. Voter Registration Forms were also available at COFPs Exhibit Booths.

COFP may be most recognizable from its sidewalk vigils. Members carrying street signs questioning the war and the U.S. military budget can be seen at the following times and locations each week:

Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Dublin-Granville Road (SR 161) and High Street in Worthington to promote peace by diplomatic means.
Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at North Broadway and High Street in Clintonville. Sponsored by Clintonville Families for Peace, COFP hopes to join with this organization to form Hands Down High Street for Peace.
